Juan is an award-winning educator and advocate for social justice with over a decade of experience at the intersection of education, policy, and racial equity. As the CEO and founder of Spectrum Equity Solutions LLC, Juan drives transformational change for organizations seeking to catalyze growth and impact around racial equity. He is also a partner at O&G Racial Equity Collaborative, where he brings his expertise to help drive equity-focused initiatives.
Prior to joining the O&G Village, Juan served as Gulf/Delta Regional Manager for the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE), where he worked closely with local governments to develop and implement racial equity frameworks. Juan also hosted the GARE Network Arts and Culture Work Group, which strives to foster more racially equitable cultural narratives by building critical infrastructure and connective tissue for Arts and Cultural Affairs offices across the country.
Based in Mexico City, Juan continues to collaborate with individuals and organizations dedicated to promoting racial equity and community engagement, both in the Gulf region and beyond. With a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Dillard University and a Master's degree in Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University, Juan is a highly experienced professional in his field, with a demonstrated ability to facilitate change and promote equity.
